MANILA – Gloria Ortinez, a victim of the “tanimbala” (bullet-planting) scheme at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has been planning on filing a complaint against perpetrators and several government agencies.

Ortinez, a household service worker (HSW) in Hong Kong, travelled back home to the Philippines, supposedly for a short vacation but ended up staying in the country for good after falling prey to the airport modus operandi.

The 56-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was detained on allegations of illegal possession of ammunition after a bullet was found in her baggage, missing her flight back to Hong Kong. She was then terminated by her employer after she failed to report back for work.

Ortinez repeatedly asserted her innocence and her case was later on dismissed by the court. Spocky Farolan, her legal counsel, then prepared the cases they will file against the airport staff and government incompetent officials.

“We will not only file charges against those crooks that victimize Nanay Gloria (Ortinez). We will also go after clueless, inconsiderate and negligent [officials]. All of them should be held accountable,” Farolan said in a radio interview.
