Willie Revillame’s Wowowin to end soon?

MANILA – According to speculations, Willie Revillame’s variety show Wowowin may be discontinued on GMA-7, with its last airing on July 26.

In a Philippine Entertainment Portal report, a source has confirmed the rumors but disclosed that negotiations between Revillame and GMA’s top executives were still being done.

Wowowin has only been aired for three months, with its pilot episode on May 10.

Being a blocktimer, Willie paid for the show’s production as well as the network’s airtime – and these were costly.

The show is said to be discontinued due to financial issues.

However, Wowowin executive producer Rackie Revilla and assistant director Adrian Gret denied the speculations as they haven’t heard about it from Revillame.
