Pagasa: Two more storms approaching PH
MANILA — The weather bureau warned about two more storms approaching the country as tropical storm Egay moves out.
Tropical storm Chan-hom could enter by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. It will be named Falcon once it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
He will be followed by tropical storm Nangka which is still far from the PAR, according to PAGASA.
Egay have moved away from the country’s land mass, crawling northward toward Taiwan at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour (kph), by Monday.
The weather bureau said that if it do not dissipitate completely by Wednesday, it will exit the PAR by Thursday.
As of writing, there were no casualties reported. Egay, however, caused nonstop rains and flooding among areas in Metro Manila.
As of 12 noon, storm warning signal #2 was raised in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Abra. Signal #1 was raised in Batanes, Calayan & Babuyan Islands, NW of Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, La Union, and Benguet.
Flashfloods were also reported in the following areas:
Bauang
– barangays Pudoc
– Baccuit Norte
– Payucpoc Norte
– Central East
– Parian Este
Balaoan
– Nalasin
– Nagsabaran Norte
– Camilio Osias
– Cabua-an
Tubao
– Rizal
There was also flooding in Palawan:
– Brgy San Jose in Puerto Princesa City
– Brgys Culandanum and Sandoval in Bataraza
– Brgys Culasian, Iraan, Candawaga, and Ransang in Rizal
And in Kabugao, Apayao, particularly Barangay Cabetayan
4 landslide incidents were also reported in:
– Palawan (Montible-Napsan Rd)
– Baguio (Irisan Purok1)
– La Trinidad (Kibungan Vill)
– Apayao (Brgy Manag)
