Aquino wants to investigate capsizing of ferry

President Benigno S. The incident caused the death of at least 38 passengers while others are still missing.
M/B Kim Nirvana was carrying 189 passengers and crew and was capsized off Ormoc City on Thusday morning.
In a statement issued on Friday, Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said they want the Philippine Coast guard to conduct a comprehensive probe on the incident.
“We expect a thorough investigation on the part of the PCG to find out what caused the incident,” Valte said.
She added that the search and rescue operation is still ongoing.
Valte also expressed sympathy over the families who lost their loved ones in the incident.
“We mourn with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the incident and assure them a speedy and objective investigation,” she said.
