Lim fined, banned for hitting Abueva on Aces-Ginebra match

MANILA –  After hitting Alaska Aces’ Calvin Abueva, Barangay Ginebra coach Frankie Lim was then fined with P50,000 and was banned from Ginebra’s Game 1 in the PBA Governer’s Cup.

Ginebra was unable to win the match against Alaska Aces in the PBA’s quarterfinals. Ginebra played well from the first to third quarter.

But before the third quarter ended, an incident occurred involving Ginebra’s Orland Johnson and LA Tenorio getting physical with Abueva.

Ginebra bench and coach later on hit Abueva as well. Lim, Johnson and Tenorio were then fouled.

The Aces won the game with 114-108.
