Gloria Arroyo gains P10-M while under hospital arrest

MANILA — Even under hospital arrest, former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo gained almost P10 million based on her 2014 statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

In her 2013 SALN, Arroyo declared she’s worth a total of P136.5 million. After a year, her worth grew to P146.5 million — P78.8 million as real properties and P217.7 million in “personal assets” according to a report from The Philippine Star. Her liabilities for both 2013 and 2014 is still at P150 million.

Arroyo is currently listed as the 18th wealthiest member of the Congress.

She has been placed under hospital arrest in 2012 at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City for plunder charges.
