MANILA — Senator Grace Poe has outranked Vice President Jejomar Binay in the latest survey for the most preferred presidential candidates for 2016.

Results of  the recent survey conducted by Pulse Asia from May 30 to June 5 showed that Poe is now leading the list with a preference rating of 30% nationwide.

Binay only got 22% in the recent poll and is down to the second spot, the first survey where the Vice President didn’t top.

The data posted by Rappler, and obtained from a poll subscriber, also showed that Binay was followed by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte with 15% and former president and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, who was preferred by 10%.

The respondents were asked, “Whom would you vote for as president of the Philippines if the 2016 elections were held today and they were candidates?”

Poe was most preferred in all island groups except in Mindanao which was topped by Duterte with 37%.

The following names were included in the survey’s list of most preffered candidates for next year’s polls:

  • Poe 30%
  • Binay 22%
  • Duterte 15%
  • Manuel Roxas II 10%
