MANILA – Following his recent portrayal of a Special Action Force trooper killed in the deadly Mamasapano operation, actor Coco Martin was invited to speak before a crowd of police on Monday.

Martin delivered his message during the weekly flag raising ceremony at Camp Crame.

He thanked the police force for all their dedication and sacrifices.

The actor also shared how he rigidly trained for his police role.

(When I was training for the role of a SAF commando, and now that I’m training again for another policeman role, I really admired all of you for your dedication and sacrifices during your training.)

He earlier played the role of Chief Inspector John Garry Erana in the ABS-CBN drama anthology “Maalala Mo Kaya.”

He was with actress Angel Locsin who palyed the role of Suzette Tucay, Erana’s girlfriend.

The actor added that he hopes that through his roles, people will bring back the “love, respect and high regard of the people” for the PNP.

( I hope they get the chance to talk to you so that they will understand the kind of hardship, that kind of life you live everyday and all that you’ve been through to protect us, guide and take care of the people.)
