Aquino eyes Poe to continue his reforms

MANILA — For President Aquino, Senator Grace Poe is one of the few persons who can continue the reforms he started.

Without mentioning specific details of his meeting with Poe, Aquino said he sees the possibility of Poe continuing the programs of his administration.

“Palagay natin si Senator Grace ay isa sa mga taong pwede talagang inaasahan nating magpatuloy, pwede talagang magpatuloy (nitong mga reporma),” the President said in an interview for Bombo Radyo.

(I think Senator Grace is among those we can rely on to continue our reforms.)

Aquino added that Poe has the same political views and directions as his administration.

“Naniniwala tayong tama ang kanyang mga pananaw o nasa tamang direksyon ang gusto nyang tahakin,” Aquino said.

(We believe that his views are correct and what she wants to achieve is in the right direction.)

Poe is among the politicians eyed by the Liberal Party for the upcoming 2016 elections.

Aquino said that this is the reason why the public should not be surprised about his meeting with Poe.

Despite the meeting, the president has not yet announce the candidate that he will be endorsing for the elections next year.
