NDRRMC: 2 dead due to electrocution during ‘Dodong’ onslaught in Cagayan
MANILA — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Monday reported that two people in Cagayan became the casualties during the onslaught of typhoon ”Dodong”.
NDRRMC identified the fatalities as Rojelio Paa, 74; and Neil Paa, 46, both residents of Barangay Mabanguc, Aparri, Cagayan, who died due to electrocution.
The victims were electrocuted while fixing their roof on Sunday around 11:30 a.m. They were rushed to the Bangag Medicare Center Hospital but were pronounced dead on arrival.
The NDRRMC said “Dodong” has affected 1,029 families or 3,803 people, who were preemptively evacuated in the provinces of Isabela and Cagayan.
