Gerald defends Janice on split with Maja

MANILA – Gerald Anderson defended actress Janice De Belen and cleared her name following rumors that the actress was the reason for Gerald’s breakup with Maja Salvador.

“Hindi ko nga alam kung papatulan pa ‘yan. Nakakahiya sa pamilya ni ate Janice.

Tinext ko nga siya. Tinanong ko kung okay lang sila kasi napakawalang kwenta naman ng [istorya na ‘yan],” he said in an interview with ABS-CBN News on Sunday.

(I don’t even know if I would still comment on that issue. It’s very embarrassing for ate Janice’s family. I even texted her asking if they’re okay because that issue is really worthless.

“Sana tigilan na kasi nakakahiya sa ibang tao,” he said.

(I hope they stop it already because it’s embarrassing for other people.

)

He also called on the bashers to stop involving other people in the issue.

“Ako na lang ang i-bash, huwag na madamay yung ibang tao,” he said.

(They should bash me and not involve other people anymore.)

Gerald worked with Janice when the latter played as his mother in “Budoy.”
