MANILA — The Supreme Court (SC) has approved the negotiation between its Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) to use the latter’s campus again as the venue for the 2015 Bar Examinations.

In a resolution, the SC said that it approved the “negotiation by the Bar Confidant with the UST for the use of the latter’s campus and facilities for the subject Bar Examinations.”

The UST has become the venue of the Bar examinations since 2011.

It was previously being held at the DeLa Salle University (DLSU) in Taft Avenue, Manila.

The SC also announced that the acceptance of the applications to take the 2015 Bar Examinations by the OBC will start on June 15, 2015 and end on July 31, 2015 without any extension.

The Bar exams this year will be conducted on Nov. 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2015.

The SC also referred the letter of Bar Confidant and Deputy Clerk of Court Atty. Maria Cristina Layusa to the Procurement Planning Committee to take appropriate action on the purchase of digital duplicators and collating machines.

A digital duplicator is used for high-volume print jobs but is much faster and cheaper compared to toner-based copiers while a collating machine is used for faster way to organize handouts, booklets and tests.
