MANILA — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has determined one of the possible IP (Internet Provider) addresses or place where the alleged video of the clash in Mamasapano, Maguindanao on Jan. 25, 2015 was first uploaded.
According to NBI-Anti Cybercrime Division Chief Atty. Ronald Aguto, they cannot yet disclose Friday if indeed it was in that place where the controversial video was first uploaded.
However, the NBI said it is one of the possible sources of the video.
Aguto said that the agents of the NBI have already proceeded to the said place.
Aside from determining the original source of the video, Aguto said also included in their task is the enhancement of the video in order to determine the identity of the individuals seen on the video.
Aguto added that the video footage and the result of the investigation by the NBI-Anti Cybercrime Division will also be used by the ongoing investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ-NBI) Special Team in connection with the Mamasapano clash.
