POEA: New Zealand set to hire Filipino workers
ZAMBOANGA CITY -– The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced that New Zealand is eyeing to hire Filipino workers.
POEA OIC-regional director Marrieta Bellotindos said Saturday that New Zealand was in need of skilled and construction workers.
Bellotindos said they were just waiting for the job order to determine the number of Filipino workers New Zealand need.
She said the hiring would be done through POEA-accredited job placement agencies and no placement fee would be collected.
She advise the skilled workers, who are interested to work in New Zealand to be ready with their requirements such as passport, birth certificate and other clearances.
She said there were at least 20 Filipinos working at present in managerial and clerical jobs in New Zealand.
