Alberta transit bus driver charged in crashes through 2 backyards, hitting decks
ST. ALBERT, Alberta — Mounties have laid charges almost three months after transit bus crashed through two backyards north of Edmonton.
A St. Albert Transit bus was in a residential area when it rove off the road and hit a fence and a shed around 6 p.
m. on Sept. 30.
The bus continued through the backyard, pushing a trampoline and breaking another fence.
It then collided with the deck of a second home before stopping.
RCMP say there were no mechanical problems with the bus before or at the time it crashed.
Neil Christensen is set to appear in court in St. Albert on Jan. 27 on a charge of careless driving.
