Alaska defeats Rain or Shine, owns 2-1 lead

MANILA – Alaska bested Rain or Shine last Monday, 94-78, for a 2-1 lead in the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Aces forward Calvin Abueva scored 28 points with 14 rebounds to give his team the momentum.
“I thought our defense was really good. I really love the way our guys play defense,” said Alaska head coach Alex Compton. “The guys really asserted themselves defensively.
”
During the first few minutes of the game, Rain or Shine tried to step up but failed to which the Aces used to their advantage. The Painters posted 0-of-15 from beyond the arc. Their head coach, Yeng Guaio, was also ejected during the 9:16 mark of the third canto following his second technical foul. Beau Belga followed suit with 5:13 remaining in the same period.
The fourth game is scheduled on December 25, 4 p.
