Gov’t focused on achieving inclusive growth — Palace
MANILA — The Aquino administration remains focused in attaining inclusive growth in line with its development priorities, a Malacanang official said on Monday.
Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. noted this in response to a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey indicating top candidates whom the respondents believed are qualified to succeed President Benigno S. Aquino III in 2016.
Vice President Jejomar Binay, Senator Grace Poe and Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas II topped the SWS public opinion poll taken from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1.
“Ang mga public opinion surveys ay bahagi ng citizens’ feedback, hindi lamang tungkol sa mga voter preferences on possible candidates for the 2016 elections, kundi sa mga mahahalagang usaping pambayan (Public opinion surveys are parts of citizens’ feedback, not just about voter preference on possible candidates for the 2016 elections, but also when it comes to important national issues),” Coloma said in a Palace press briefing.
Coloma said the government is focused on ensuring that the country will attain the goals of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP).
The PDP is the government’s national blueprint in achieving inclusive growth, generating mass employment and reducing poverty in the country.
