In his Christmas message, President Aquino cited Jesus’ humble beginning, being born in a manger and not in a mansion or luxurious place.

The President said the story of the birth of Jesus provides a guide to promoting good governance in the country.

The Chief Executive said that for the past four years, his administration has taken great strides in holding accountable corrupt officials, resolving inherited challenges and problems, providing the needs of Filipinos during calamities and conflicts, and expanding opportunities to improve the people’s socio-economic conditions.

President Aquino said his administration is working to make changes permanent and significant.
