Siningsaysay Philippine History in Art Exhibit

SiningSaysay a huge art and history exhibit recently opened at the Gateway Gallery at the Araneta Center complex in Quezon City. It is a collaborative project of the University of the Philippines, the UP Alumni Foundation and the Araneta Center, Inc.

Participating artists, all homegrown at the UP College of Fine Arts, include Grace Alfonso, Don Artificio, Benjie Cabangis, Dreo Norman, Randy Solon Pablo Baen Santos Denes Dasco, Gig C de Pio, Simkin de Pio, Aileen Lanuza-De Pio, Vincent de Pio, Junyee, Armand Bacaltos, Ding Hidalgo,Jonahmar Salvosa, Romi C MananQuil, Cris Cruz, Romy Carlos, Ben Infante, Norlie Meimban, Julius Samson, Leonilo Doloricon, Angel Cacnio, Michael Velasco, Grandier Gil Bella, Janice Liuson-Young, with the rare participation of National Artists Benedicto Cabrera aka Bencab and Abdulmari Asia Imao. It took more than five years of preparation before this mammoth exhibit was finally launched.
