DOJ orders prosecutors to secure case records
MANILA — The National Prosecution Service (NPS) of the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday ordered all their prosecutors and staff to assure the security of the records of cases in their custody.
According to Prosecutor General Claro A. Arellano, the prosecutors should adopt precautionary measures in the face of the coming Super Typhoon “Ruby”.
Likewise, Arellano reminded the members of the NPS that they should ensure first their personal safety and that of their families, respectively.
”Let us continue to pray that our country be spared from such calamity,” Arellano said.
It will be recalled that in the aftermath of Super Typhoon “Yolanda” last year, it was a very challenging task to recover the court documents which were also damaged in the calamity.
