MANILA – The Land Transportation Office yesterday said that the blue Maserati Ghibli sports car used by Businessman Joseph Russel Ingco was still unregistered during his run-in with traffic enforcer Jorbe Adriatico last week.

“When we checked our database, the car was still not registered at that time,” LTO spokesman Jason Salvador said in an interview.

Salvador also added that they have started the probe on the complaint filed by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority asking to revoke the Ingco’s license because of his actions.

“We have already placed the license of Mr. Ingco under alarm while awaiting the results of the investigation,” Salvador said.

He added that the LTO is now looking at the possibility of holding Ingco liable for reckless driving and commission of a crime in the course of apprehension.

Meanwhile, Salvador said that based on the complaints filed by Adriatico, Ingco endangered the life of the traffic enforcer and other motorists in the road by driving while punching him in the face.

If proven, these violations will be punished thorugh the revocation of Ingco’s driver’s license.
