Right Here, Write Now back on stage

The cast of Right Here, Write Now! are back together again, doing four shows this year benefitting ANCOP and two parishes in the Archdiocese. Right Here, Write Now, an original musical written, directed and produced by the Jose family, will have four shows in November. Two at The River Rock Casino in Richmond for the benefit of St. Paul’s Parish on Nov. 16, and two at the Bell Performing Centre in Surrey for the benefit of St. Matthew’s Parish on Nov. 29.

Joining the original cast this year are 24 new cast members who successfully made the auditions last March 2014. They are young people coming from different parishes in the Archdiocese, primarily from St. Matthew’s and St. Paul’s parishes where the auditions were held.

With the help of Couples for Christ leaders Chito and MaryAnn Marfori who are active parishioners at St. Matthew’s, the musical was offered as an opportunity to help raise money for the building needs of the parish, and to financially help ANCOP further its shelter and child sponsorship programs. After a presentation conducted by the Jose family, the Parish Council of St. Matthew’s was amazed at the level of performance and quality of the songs, that they were easily convinced to stage the show. The same thing happened at St. Paul’s, and the parish council there wasted no time in scheduling the show at The River Rock, where it was originally staged. Last May 24, the musical was introduced to stakeholders headed by Bill Bouwman and launched at St. Matthew’s. Right after the show, the different ministries of the parish signed up to get tickets to sell to their members and their parishioners.

Tickets for the shows are $25 for Bell Performing Centre in Surrey, and $28 for The River Rock Casino show. Help support both parishes and ANCOP by watching this year’s shows.
