MANILA – Benhur Luy, the pork barrel scam whistleblower, is the government’s strongest evidence against Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr who is currently facing graft and plunder charges for allegedly benefiting from his pork barrel funds.

On Thursday, the prosecution already showed the evidence against Revilla, Janet Lim-Napoles, and Richard Cambe.

“The strongest evidence that we have is the testimony of Benhur Luy and the documents presented, including the hard drive and the disk image copy of the hard drive,” said state prosecutor Atty. Joefferson Toribio.

The ant-graft court also considered the special audit report of the Commission on Audit (COA) on the lawmakers’ Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) documents, and incorporation papers of Napoles’ false NGOs.

Also, they admitted copies of Revilla’s Special Allotment Release Orders (SAROs) from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Notice of Cash Allocations, a letter of the senator to the DBM for the release of his PDAF allocation, and the Anti-Money Laundering Council’s (AMLC) report on Revilla’s supposed ill-gotten wealth.

Meanwhile, defense lawyers will also present their own witnesses.

On the other hand, Revilla said that he believes that the Sandiganbayan will grant his petition for bail.

His camp insisted that the signature of the senator in the documents presented were all forged by Luy.
