Terminal fee integration deferred
The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa recently announced the deferment of the implementation of the international passenger service charge integration program per advice from the Manila International Airport Authority.
In a letter dated Nov. 4, the Philippine embassy said the program is being deferred until further notice.
“Commonly known as the airport terminal fee which costs regular passengers P550 at major airports in the Philippines, the program will integrate the said fee into the cost of airline tickets at point of sale on cash or credit thereby reducing the congestion in Philippine airports to the benefit of millions of passengers using Philippine airports,” it was said in the letter.
