November release slated by Globe, Smart for latest iPhone models

MANILA –Globe Telecom and SMART Communications Inc. announced on Wednesday that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available to their subscribers starting November 14.

Ramon Isberto, Smart spokesperson said that the Philippine “market response has been very positive, and there is much anticipation” for the release of the latest phone models from Apple.

“The enhanced features of the iPhone 6 will be fully enjoyed in Smart’s LTE network,” Isberto noted.

SMART will begin receiving pre-orders for the units on November 7, while Globe is now offering pre-registration via their website.

The iPhone 6 features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.

5-inch display. Both models – which will be available in over 115 countries by the end of 2014 – were launched in September.
