Mariah Carey’s Manila gig, a success

MANLA – Mariah Carey on Tuesday proved that she still have what it takes to stage a successful concert.

Despite criticisms she received over the past weeks, Carey showed her singing prowess at the Mall of Asia Arena for the first half of her Asian-Oceania tour for her “Elusive Chanteuse” album.

Carey took control of her vocals and improvised on the notes so as not to make any mistakes.

She even did her well-known whistles in some of her songs to the delight of her Filipino fans.

Although she sounded different compared from her peak years, Carey pulled together a concert worth of high marks to maintain her relevance in the music industry.
