10 Filipino films in Hanoi Film Fest

MANILA – Ten Filipino movies will be part of the 3rd Hanoi International Film Festival slated on November 23 to 27 in Vietnam.

According to producer Dennis Evangelista, the Jason Paul Laxamana movie “Magkakabaung (The Coffin Maker)” will compete in the main section of the film fest.

Meanwhile, “Hustisya” by Joel Lamangan will be part of the exhibition section of Net-pac winning films and “Lauriana” by Mel Chionglo will be in a special section on the Philippines.

The other Filipino movies included in the event include the following: Jose Javier Reyes’ “Ano ang Kulay ng mga Nakalimutang Pangarap,” Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes’ “Sonata,” Hannah Espia’s “Transit,” Mikhail Red’s “Rekorder,” Jeffrey Jeturian’s “Ekstra,” Babyruth Villarama-Gutierrez’s “Jazz in Love” and Elwood Perez’s “Otso.”
