MANILA – Yes, Piolo subjected his son to a DNA test. But he’d rather not talk about it.

At a press conference held Monday for his November 15 Sunpiology Fun Run, actor Piolo Pascual confirmed that he had his son, Iñigo, take a DNA test to confirm the child’s parentage.

“Yes, pero huwag na nating pag-usapan, siyempre, I don’t wanna build up the issue,” Piolo said, requesting reporters not to pry into the matter which was first brought to light by his sister on a recent TV special.

“Hindi ko alam na my sister talked about it sa (E! News Asia), at kasama ko yung anak ko noon. I was cringing kasi hindi ko naman alam na lalabas ‘yon sa E! Siyempre he is my own blood,” the Hawak Kamay actor added.

The “E! News” special, which featured Piolo’s showbiz career, detailed that Piolo was only 20-years-old when his then-girlfriend told him she was carrying his child.
Chiqui Gonzales, Piolo’s sister, recounted on the show that Piolo “was in denial.”

]“He didn’t want to accept that Inigo was his son, so they had this DNA test. It was 99.9% [positive]!,” Chiqui said.

At the press briefing, reporters queried Piolo on the topic of the DNA test when the 37-year-old actor admitted that he plans to come up with his last will and testament, sooner rather later.

“I’ll be working on it actually. Kailangan ‘yon. My main beneficiary is my mom. Unahan kami ng nanay ko kung sino ang mauna sa amin. Kapag siya eh di papalitan ko,” he quipped.

Asked whether he has any more children secretly waiting in the wings, Piolo answered: “So far wala naman. Hindi na siguro aabot doon, kung before, wala naman.”

“DNA lang ang katapat noon. Ano ganun-ganun lang?,” he added, with a chuckle.
