MANILA — At such a young age, Julia Montes has played characters beyond her years, which include a scorned wife in “Ikaw Lamang.”

Despite playing as a leading lady to various men onscreen, the 19-year-old said that she is not even entertaining suitors at this time.

“Work is my top priority. It is my love life,” said the former child star.

Currently, she is preparing to star in a horror movie with Gerald Anderson. She shared that she is still adjusting to Anderson given that this is their first time to partner in a movie.

When asked about her dream role, she said that she wanted to star in a family drama film like the movie “Anak.”

The said film was produced by Vilma Santos wherein she played the character of a domestic helper in Hong Kong. After spending years in abroad, she went home to the Philippines only to find that her sacrifices only estranged her from her family.
