MANILA — Eat Bulaga host and mainstay Paolo Ballesteros was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a transient ischemic attack or mini-stroke.

The host posted a photo of him wearing a hospital gown in his Instagram account on Monday night.

He captioned the photo: “Staying in Tonight. Marikina Valley Medical Center. According to the doctors, it’s a type of hypertension, or transient ischemic attack. Thankful that it’s only a mild stroke. Still doing some lab tests tomorrow. I am so old! But I am feeling better now. Thank you @doryisbabe @eatbulagaselfie @joelrelleve @yayin_1203 @chiquitita03 @zhukini #dietpagow #bangkokpillspahihistopmuna #vicemayorcadiz.”

According to the American Stroke Association, transient ischemic attack or “mini-stroke” does not cause permanent brain damage. However, it requires the same treatment and response as a stroke.
