Paolo Bediones on voluntary leave of absence

MANILA — Following his recent involvement in a sex video scandal, Paolo Bediones takes a break from showbiz and is on a “voluntary leave of absence.”

Despite this, the management of TV5 said that Bediones is still the host of public affairs programs “Demolition Job” and “Rescue 5.”

“Through the years, I’ve come to know Paolo, the man behind the celebrity. He has no mean bone. I’ve seen him face tough career and life challenges.

He always tried his best to learn from each.

He’s in a rough spot now, but I’m sure he’ll bounce back,” said Cherie Mercado, Bediones’ colleague in TV5.

This is the first time that Bediones got involved in a major controversy. He used to be a showbiz personality before shifting to news anchoring.
