Panelo resigns as counsel of parents of slain car racer

Pastor was shot to death last June 12.
Panelo filed his motion to withdraw as legal counsel before Department of Justice (DOJ) Assistant State Prosecutor Susan Villanueva.
According to Panelo, he has become so close both to the Pastor family and one of the suspect, Enzo’s wife Dahlia Guerrero-Pastor, hence, he took it upon himself to resign.
Panelo had previously lawyered for the parents of Enzo, namely Tomas and Remy, as well as to the couple Dahlia and Enzo themselves when they filed a complaint against an individual.
Panelo said that he has already informed Tomas Pastor, father of the victim, about his resignation as their counsel.
