Heart’s engagement Sen. Chiz draws her family together

MANILA — Heart Evangelista’s dad Rey Ongpauco gave his blessing to Sen. Chiz Escudero and told Heart through a text message that he wishes them all the happiness in the world.

Since this much-awaited reconciliation that happened on the same night that Sen.

Chiz proposed to Heart, the Kapuso star took it to Instagram to show everyone that she and her parents have kissed and made up.

On August 24th, Heart posted a part of her dad’s text message for her, saying “always be happy heart love u.” Heart posted the caption, “To my dad… thank you for loving me the way you do… my perfect morning.

”

A few hours later, Heart posted another photo. This time with her mom Cecile and sister Camille — all smiles for the camera.

However, upon closer look, the three Ongpauco ladies look like as if they came fresh from a crying session.

Perhaps that’s how familial reconciliations are always sealed: with tears of joy.
