TORONTO — Toronto police have arrested a man in a fatal shooting last week, and are seeking another.

Franklin Afrifa, 25, of Toronto, was arrested today after police executed a search warrant at two residences.

He faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder, and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Police are appealing for public assistance in locating Benard Asante, 24, also known as Benard Kissi, who is wanted on the same charges.

Police say the Torontonian is black, five-foot-five and 130 pounds, wears his hair in cornrows and is considered armed and dangerous.

Last Monday, Olatoyebi Waheed, 24, was shot dead after his car stopped at a light (at Eglinton Avenue West and Jane Street).

His passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
