Famous anti-pork personality Juana Change at Aug 25’s anti-pork rally in Luneta (Boy Gonzales / DZRH via Twitter)

MANILA – Chief of the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) Police Director Carmelo Valmoria on Monday said that the anti-pork barrel rally conducted at Rizal Park, Manila has ended generally peaceful and orderly with no significant untoward incident reported.

“Peaceful and no untoward incident were also reported,” Valmoria said in a text message sent to Philippines News Agency (PNA).

He estimated the crowd to be around 4,500 and the rally ended past 2:00 p.m.

Earlier, Chief Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP-Public Information Office (PIO) chief, said the NCRPO has been instructed to ensure that no untoward incident would occur that could disturb the peaceful conduct of the rally.
