MANILA — Matteo Guidecelli is up on cloud number nine these past days. All because of his relationship with multi-awarded singer Sarah Geronimo.

The 24-year-old actor said he is very cautious about sharing information about their relationship because he believes that privacy has been the key.

“You know I just want to protect everything that’s why I really don’t want to speak a lot about it. So I’m very careful and I’m also scared to be misinterpreted,” said Guidecelli. “It’s not that strong yet. We still need to strengthen it. When it’s stronger and more stable then maybe we’ll be more comfortable and open about it.”

He also added that he does not want to be seen as someone who rides along the popularity of his girlfriend given that he has two new movies scheduled to come out, “Somebody to Love” on August 20 and “Moron 5” in September.

He will also star in “Shake, Rattle & Roll XV” in the episode “Flight 666” together with Lovi Poe.

On another note, Guidecelli set the record straight regarding the supposed “dumping” of his former manager Joj iDingcong.

“No I didn’t do that. It used to be that I’m co-managed by Star Magic and Kuya Joji. Now my sole manager is Star Magic and Kuya Joji is my consultant. He’s been with me since I was 14 years old. Siyempre I was raised to be loyal and I don’t want to switch management so Joji will always be around. I love Kuya Joji,” shared Guidecelli.

“Somebody to Love” is written and directed by Joey Reyes. Aside from Guidecelli, the movie also stars Iza Calzado, Jason Abalos, Carla Abellana, Isabel Daza, Maricar Reyes, Kiray Celis, Jackie Lou Blanco and Jacklyn Jose.
