CALGARY — Alberta NDP leadership contender Rachel Notley has released her top priorities if she should win the job in October.

Notley says she wants to help build a modern, progressive Alberta that provides people with quality health care.

She says the long-ruling Progressive Conservatives are out of touch with people and voters are ready for a change.

Notley says she think the NDP is well positioned to provide Albertans with a viable alternative to the PC and Wildrose parties.

David Eggen and Rod Loyola are also running to replace current NDP Leader Brian Mason.

“I really believe that Albertan’s values have moved beyond those of both conservative parties and in fact they are looking for a more progressive, forward-looking government with a different vision,” Notley said Monday.
