SSS offices nationwide will be closed on Aug 21 and Aug 25

MANILA — The Social Security System (SSS) offices nationwide will be closed for the observance of public holidays on Thursday, August 21 (Ninoy Aquino Day) and on Monday,August 25 (National Heroes Day).

This was announced Saturday in a statement by SSS Public Information Officer Sigfredo Ibay.

Ibay cited also that SSS branches and service offices within Quezon City areas, and in the provinces of Quezon and Aurora will not be open on Tuesday, August 19, in line with the observance of Republic Act 6741, which commemorates the 136th birth anniversary of former Commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon, the city’s founder who was born in Baler, Quezon.

Ibay added that SSS members with inquiries regarding their loans and benefit claim applications may check its status with their My.SSS accounts.

However, he reminded that the SSS Hotline will be temporarily unavailable to members on the above said dates.
