PLDT landline voice services now fully restored
MANILA — After its landline voice services experienced an outage at around 10 am, Friday, the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company’s (PLDT) said that it has now been fully restored.
In a statement, PDLT explained that its landline voice services experienced an outage due to a malfunction in one of its switching facilities in Quezon City.
Because of this, residential and enterprise customers in parts of Metro Manila, Cavite, and Laguna were affected.
However, the landline voice services were fully restored at 3:05 pm the same day.
PLDT noted that it is currently conducting a technical review in order to take corrective measures that will prevent a repeat of the incident.
Its public affairs team also expressed apologies to customers who may have gone from an inconvenience.
“We wish to extend our sincere apologies to our customers and the public,” the team said.
