MANILA — After her recent performance in “The Voice Kids,” the 9-year-old Lyca Gairanod of Team Sarah drew comparisons to the country’s Super Star, Nora Aunor.

(Small but terrible and a beautiful voice. That’s what I liked about you. You sing so simply; you don’t do too much body movements but you sing in a  direct and simple manner. That’s what I like.)

Adding that Gairanod performed like a superstar, Geronimo also praised the child’s performance.

“You’re like a superstar. Naglalaro-laro, daldal-daldal diyan pero pag nagre-rehearse na tayo, ibang klase ang focus mo, (You play and talk but when we rehearse, your focus is incredible.)” she said.

Gairanod performed “Isang Lahi,” in a Sing off with other members of Sarah Geronimo’s team including Isaac Zamjudio and Lee Mercelino.

The “little super star” will be competing with Darren Espanto, Gab Gomez, Diana Agustin, and 2 others yet to be announced on the show’s Sing Offs.
