Kris Aquino celebrates 18 years of talk show hosting

MANILA — Television host-actress, Kris Aquino was sentimental in her “debut” celebration for her 18th year in talk show hosting on ABS-CBN.

“It has been 18 wonderful years of being a Kapamilya & I thank my bosses, co-workers & you my audience for having the patience to allow me to grow up, experience life, and I want to believe inspire all of you to have faith, work hard, share blessings, and appreciate everything that life has to offer,” she said in an Instagram post.

Aquino added that as a talk show host in the entertainment industry, she is proud to be part of Filipino’s everyday lives for the past 18 years.

The “queen of all media” has been in the showbiz since 1992 as she started as a young actress.

She eventually turned into a popular TV host in 1996 with ABS-CBN’s talk show, “Today with Kris Aquino.”

While she was tagged as the “horror movie queen,” Aquino also hosted game shows in ABS-CBN including “Game KNB?” and the Philippine version of “Deal or No Deal.”

Aquino is also celebrating the 4th anniversary of her current morning show, “Kris TV.”

“Today, June 26, 2014, is the last day of the 3rd year of Kris TV. Tomorrow is our anniversary but in actuality it’s really the start of year 4… You welcomed me back as part of your morning habit June 27, 2011… It’s so gratifying that you’ve stuck it out & in fact have come to enjoy the “reality” of me being Kris,” she said.
