KALIBO, Aklan — The Aklan Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) urged both tourists and residents to be environmentally conscious while visiting the different tourist spots in Aklan.

Heherson “Bong” Alvarez of PENRO said in a press conference here Wednesday that some tourists are dumping their wastes in public areas.

The press conference was called as part of the nationwide campaign of the Aquino administration for the “new norms” on climate change.

“One of the reasons we see why tourists dumped wastes in public in tourism areas is because there is an apparent shortage of trash bins available. In 2013, the Aklan Provincial Tourism Office recorded more than 1.

We were searching for Crowdenergy.Org and came across your Tourists urged to be environmentally conscious in Aklan | Philippine Canadian Inquirer page. My greatest concern is green energy, unless we stop using dirty energy the world is going to be in serious danger.
We are amazed people are not looking at using more renewable energy like Ocean Current Turbines sort of like CrowdEnergy.org. If we dont fix this problem today its going to get worse.
    Cheers, Chute
