MANILA — The Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) has issued an arrest warrant against broadcasters Erwin and Raffy Tulfo for libel charges, a radio report said.
The warrant was issued by Judge Eleuterio Bathan of the Quezon City RTC Branch 92 on Tuesday after a probable cause on the libel complaint was found.
The libel complaint was filed by Senior Police Officer 3 Abubakhar Maglangit, who was allegedly maligned by the Tulfo brothers.
Maglangit said the Tulfo brothers made libelous remarks after calling him a thief in their program, “T3”
He added that he was called “shameless” and a thief.
Raffy Tulfo was reported to have described the police as someone who roams around pointing guns to scare off the people.
Maglangit also alleged that Erwin Tulfo called him a cop who steals water and gets angry when caught.
