MANILA — The Philippine National Police on Saturday announced that a simple meal was prepared for Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., who is now detained for plunder and graft charges at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Chief Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP spokesperson, said the meal prepared for Revilla Saturday includes “lugaw” with egg for breakfast, “paksiw na isda” for lunch and “ginisang sayote” for dinner.

He added that Revilla managed to sleep well Friday night and was seen sunning himself in the morning.

Sindac also stressed that the senator’s lawyers, spiritual advisers, and doctors also visited the latter during the day.

Around 12 p.m., Cavite Congresswoman Lani Mercado and their children visited Revilla at his detention cell.

The family brought Revilla some fruits which the senator ate.

Lani also stated that they are hoping that the courts will grant their request that an air cooler be installed in her husband’s cell to offset the heat.
