MANILA – President Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. on Sunday said President Benigno Aquino III will remain focused in delivering the promised reforms and not politics in his remaining 738 days in office.

”We are unperturbed in our determination to deliver the promised reforms for our people and that’s our focus and not politics,” Coloma said in a press briefing.

Coloma was asked on who will be the standard-bearer of the administration against possible presidential candidates including now detained senator Ramon Revilla Jr.

in 2016 elections.

Last Friday, Revilla voluntarily surrendered moments after the Sandiganbayan issued arrest warrant for his plunder case over pork barrel scam.

Revilla is now detained at the Philippine National Police custodial center in Camp Crame, Quezon City, and set to be arraigned on June 26.

Asked whether Revilla will get sympathy over his plans to seek presidency in 2016, Coloma said “it is the people who decide on that.”

Revilla was reportedly being groomed by the Lakas-NUCD to run for president in the 2016 elections.

Few days before the anti-graft court issue arrest warrant, Revilla visited impoverished areas in Metro Manila and his home province of Cavite to defend himself and talk about the 2016 elections.
