DepEd announces opening of application for Australia Awards Scholarships
MANILA — The Department of Education (DepEd) has announced the opening of application for Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS) for January 2015 intake.
The scholarship is a long-term development award administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), aimed at helping Australia’s partner countries on their long term development needs.
AAS is in line with the bilateral and regional agreements between Australia and other countries that sends their respective scholarship awardees to training institutions in Australia for one-year masteral program.
The training seeks to enhance the necessary skills and working knowledge of participants to be able to implement the specific projects in their Re-Entry Action Plans (REAPs) which are connected with the reform interventions of DepEd.
Nominees for the scholarship must have a field of specialization in any of the following: Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Analytics/Statistics, Education’s Assessment and Measurement, Human Resource, and Management and Development/ Organizational Development.
Applicants must secure an endorsement from the heads of their division/region, or from their respective Undersecretary or Assistant Secretary, DepEd said.
