Zion celebrates star-studded birthday party, baptism

MANILA — Zion Guttierez, son of RIchard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati celebrated a star-studded birthday and christening party on Sunday.

The double celebration, attended by the closest family and friends of the couple, was held at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City.

Zion has 25 godparents both showbiz and political figures including Vice President Jejomar Binay, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, Secretary Panfilo Lacson, TV5 Chairman Manuel Pangilinan, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, Leyte Representative Lucy Torres, seasoned actress Susan Roces and Regal Entertainment matriarch Lily Monteverde.

Other famous stars were also chosen to be Zion’s godparents including television hosts Willie Revillame, Kris Aquino, Richard’s siblings Ruffa, Elvis, Raymond and Tonton Gutierrez, Angel Locsin, Richard Gomez, Gretchen Barretto, Bela Padilla, Neil Arce, TJ Trinidad, and many others. 

The baptism was officiated by Fr. Baltazar Obico, OFM of the Santuario de San Antonio Parish, Forbes Park.

In an interview for the Buzz, Richard gave thanks to everyone who offered their best wishes for Zion.

“I’m over the moon right now, very overwhelming, very happy. I’m very thankful,” he said.
