MANILA — Despite allegations of his involvement on the alleged harassment and extortion of Janet Lim-Napoles, a former head of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) vehemently denied the accusations saying he never met Napoles.

Retired Marine Brig. General Rodolfo Diaz said Friday, in an interview on radio dzBB that he has never met the alleged mastermind of the pork barrel scam.

The statement was made after Diaz’s name was tagged in the alleged harassment of Napoles as stated in a letter sent by Napoles to President Benigno Aquino III.

Diaz was accused by Napoles of extorting P38 million in exchange for dropping the “false” charges.

Meanwhile, earlier reports quoted Diaz admitting that he arranged a meeting between principal whistleblower, Benhur Luy’s legal counsel, Levito Baligod and Napoles’ legal counsel, Freddie Villamor.

Diaz admitted the report saying he was friends with both lawyers but he also added that they never talked about money in their discussions.
