Nova Scotia Mounties investigating suspected arson case in Annapolis Valley

NICTAUX, NS — RCMP in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley say they’re investigating a suspected case of arson.

Police say officers were called to a home on Old Runway Drive in Nictaux around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

They say investigators found black smoke billowing from the home.

The Nictaux Fire Department arrived shortly after and quickly extinguished the flames.

Police say the home was considerably damaged in the blaze, but no one was injured.

The Mounties say a male suspect was arrested a few hours later in the nearby Middletown area, although no charges have been laid.
