Vigan promoted as one of seven wonder cities of the world

The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto is seeking the public’s support to vote for Vigan City to be one of the new seven wonder cities of the world.

The heritage city of Vigan is the lone candidate from the Philippines vying for the spot in the New Seven Wonder Cities of the World List. There are a total of 28 cities contending for the seven slots.
New7Wonders is both a Foundation and a commercial operation.

The New7Wonders organization and movement is based on a similar structure to other major international events, such as the International Olympic Committee or FIFA, with positive objectives while being commercially managed. At the heart of New7Wonders is the officially Swiss-registered not-for-profit Foundation, the New7Wonders Foundation, whose original mission is to organize the global voting campaign and to ensure the objectives are met.
